Questions

Which level should I start on?

New players should start on level 1 or 2. If you win easily, move up one level at a time.

Is it free?

Yes, with no account and no adverts.

Can the computer be beaten on level 10?

Very rarely. Level 10 is full-strength Stockfish, which is far stronger than any human player.

Does it work offline?

Once the page has loaded the engine runs on your device, so a game keeps going if your connection drops.
